Terms of Service
Effective October 9, 2026
The short version: CertyStudy is a study aid. It can help you prepare, but it isn’t the official exam and can’t promise you’ll pass. Use it honestly, don’t copy or resell our questions, and only share class codes with your own students.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and CertyStudy (made by Connor Corkum, Eli Lauterbach, and Garjuyen Johnson; “we” or “us”). By using CertyStudy’s website or apps, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you’re under 18, please review them with a parent or guardian.
2. Who can use CertyStudy
You must be at least 13 years old. You sign in with a Google account, and you’re responsible for what happens while you’re signed in, so keep your account secure and sign out on shared computers.
3. A study aid, not the real exam
CertyStudy’s questions, explanations, flashcards, and procedures are our own original practice material. They are not official exam questions. CertyStudy isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by CompTIA, the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), W3Schools, or any other certifying organization, state board, or testing company. We work hard to be accurate, but we can’t guarantee that you’ll pass any exam. Always check your official candidate handbook. CompTIA, A+, Network+, and Security+ are trademarks of CompTIA, Inc.
4. Classes
- Teachers can create classes and share a join code with their students. By creating a class, you confirm that you may use CertyStudy with those students under your school’s rules.
- By joining a class, students agree that its teacher can see their name, email, and CertyStudy progress, as described in our Privacy Policy. Students can leave a class at any time.
- Share a class code only with the people who belong in that class.
- Teachers can add their own questions for a class and hide built-in ones. Questions a teacher adds are that teacher’s responsibility, and we may remove any that break these terms.
5. Using CertyStudy fairly
Please don’t:
- use CertyStudy to cheat on a real exam or break a testing organization’s rules;
- copy, scrape, publish, or sell our questions or other content;
- try to break into, overload, or disrupt CertyStudy, or access another person’s account;
- use offensive names for your study buddy or your classes, or pretend to be someone else.
6. Our content
CertyStudy, including its questions, explanations, flashcards, procedures, artwork, and study buddies, belongs to us. You may use it for your own studying, and teachers may use it with their students. Your progress belongs to you.
7. Paid features
Some parts of CertyStudy, such as teacher subscriptions, are paid. We’ll always show the price and billing terms before you buy, and you’ll be able to cancel as those terms describe.
8. Changes to CertyStudy
We’re a small team, and CertyStudy will keep changing. We may add, change, or remove features. We do our best to keep the service running and your progress safe, but we can’t promise CertyStudy will always be available or free of errors.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk.
10. Disclaimers and limits
CertyStudy is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, including exam results or lost progress, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven’t paid us anything.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll post the new version here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we’ll also let you know in the app. Continuing to use CertyStudy after a change means you accept the new terms.
